Account & Data Deletion
Effective Date: May 31, 2026
How to request deletion
This page explains how to request deletion of your Nemosa account and the personal data connected to it. Nemosa is the app and developer named on the Google Play store listing.
To request deletion, send an email to support@nemosa.app with the subject line “Data removal request”, and tell us:
- the email address linked to your Nemosa account, and
- what you would like removed – your entire account, or only specific data such as particular recordings or chapters.
That is all you need to do. There are no forms to fill in and no technical steps – a single email is enough. Writing from the email address registered to your account helps us confirm it is really you and act on your request faster.
We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and then process it.
What gets deleted
When you ask us to delete your account, we remove the personal data we hold about you, including:
- your account and profile information (such as your name and email address);
- the written chapters and stories created from your spoken answers;
- photos you attached to your chapters;
- your digital book and any read-only share links you created.
Once deleted, this data cannot be recovered.
Please note that Nemosa does not store your raw voice recordings. Your speech is turned into text as you record, and the audio itself is discarded during processing – there is no recording left for us to keep or delete.
What we keep, and for how long
After your account is deleted, we keep only a limited amount of information, and only where the law requires it or where we need it to handle a dispute:
- Billing and transaction records – records of purchases (such as recording hours or printed-book orders) are kept for as long as required by applicable tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws. This period is set by law in your country (often several years) and cannot be shortened on request.
- Records needed to comply with a legal obligation or resolve a dispute – kept only for as long as that purpose requires.
Any retained records are stored securely, are not used for any other purpose, and are deleted once the applicable retention period ends.
How long deletion takes
We action verified deletion requests within 30 days, and usually much sooner. Copies held in our routine backups are removed on the next backup-rotation cycle, after which no copies remain.
